Manon Bannerman’s Hiatus Casts Shadow Over Katseye’s Coachella Debut

February 20, 2026 – HYBE and Geffen announced on Weverse that Swiss‑Ghanaian singer Manon Bannerman would take a “temporary hiatus” from the six‑member girl group Katseye to focus on her health and well‑being. The statement, echoed by the group’s official accounts, marked the start of a prolonged absence that has persisted through the spring.

Absence from New‑Single Campaign

When Katseye released teaser posters for their upcoming single “Pinky Up” on April 3, only five members appeared. Fans quickly noted Manon’s omission and cited the earlier hiatus notice. The group’s caption hinted at a “Part 1,” leaving open the possibility of a later “Part 2” that could feature her, but no further confirmation has emerged.

Coachella Uncertainty

Katseye is slated to perform at Coachella on April 10 and again on April 17. HYBE reiterated that Manon remains on hiatus, and the Korea Herald reported that the label declined to comment on rumors of a permanent departure. The group’s management thanked fans—known as “Eyekons”—for their “patience and understanding.”

Latest Reports

A US‑based source told Us Weekly that Manon is not expected to return to Katseye after the hiatus, although she continues to post messages of gratitude on Weverse, emphasizing that she feels supported and healthy. The future of her role in the group remains unresolved as Katseye moves forward as a five‑piece act.
