Massachusetts native Alex Karaban, a 6‑foot‑8 forward, entered the University of Connecticut in January 2022 after accelerating his graduation at IMG Academy. He redshirted the 2021‑22 season, then earned unanimous Big East All‑Freshman honors as a redshirt freshman.

Two Championships, One More Dream

Karaban contributed to UConn’s back‑to‑back national championships in 2023 and 2024. In the 2026 tournament, he helped the Huskies edge Duke 73‑72 in the Elite Eight and played a pivotal role through the Final Four.
