Chandler Smith Disqualified After Rockingham Truck Series Race

Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 Ford F‑150 crossed the line in fourth place at the Black’s Tire 200 on Friday, but the result was nullified hours later. A post‑race inspection found the truck failed to meet the prescribed rear‑body‑height specifications, a clear breach of NASCAR’s technical rules.

The penalty stripped Smith of the 33 points he would have earned for a top‑five finish, leaving him with a solitary point from the event. The disqualification knocked the series points leader out of the top spot, allowing Corey Heim and Kaden Honeycutt, who finished first and second respectively, to share the championship lead.

Smith, who entered Rockingham atop the standings, will now have to claw his way back in the remaining regular‑season races. Front Row Motorsports confirmed the team will return with a compliant truck and hopes to recover lost ground before the playoffs begin.
